Running a NonProfit isn't easy.  While there exists a plethora of self-help books, web sites, seminars and training; and organizations to assist, there is little out there that is affordable and that allows the early leaders of a NonProfit to spread themselves thin on the very little time and money available within a given day.

Many folks outside the NonProfit world are prone to say that NonProfits should learn to "operate like a business." But in practice, solutions that work int he business world often do not work in a NonProfit setting.  A NonProfit's goal is not to MAKE money, but to USE money as a tool to achieve a higher purpose.  Although they must run efficiently and be prudent with their dollars, NonProfits are not businesses.  They are fiduciaries, acting on behalf of those who donate their money to make their communities better.  It is an awesome responsibility.

The results NonProfits are seeking are different than those sough by a business.  So are the things that keep NonProfit leaders awake at night.  It makes sense that the approach to solving those problems are different as well.

As people who have generously donated their time and passion for the Hear Me Foundation, they have re-dedicated their lives to helping positive change and to help navigate around the obstacles and head straight for the results.  To accomplish that, we feel it is important to be practical, straight-forward.  In order to do so we need your HELP and we hope that our website and this section of Volunteering will help you as well in guiding you to practical, usable and to some degree fun in helping the Hear Me Foundation succeed in the many areas in which we need your help.

In the end, results are really all that matter.  Hear Me Foundation is striving to make our organizatiion healthier and more effective so our community and state can benefit.

At the end of the day, Hear Me will feel good knowing we've had some small part.
